Local Natives cover Beyoncé’s “All Night” for SiriusXMU — listen

Fans left and right have demonstrated their unwavering devotion to Beyoncé after the pop phenom knocked the world off its axis at the 2016 MTV VMAs. We saw Stephen Colbert do his best impression of Queen Bey and watched Chance the Rapper wish her a very public “Happy Birthday!” after absolutely losing his marbles in her presence.

This week, Local Natives also get in on the fun by covering her song “All Night”. Recorded during a session for SiriusXMU, the Los Angeles outfit attempts to recreate the warm sway and swoon of the Lemonade original. It’s not exactly perfect — can anyone beat Bey at her own game? — but as we’ve seen from the indie rockers, they know a thing or two about how to conjure up their own version of soul.
