For Record Store Day 2014, David Lynch released an exclusive remix EP containing four “reversions” of songs from his 2013 LP The Big Dream. One of those remixes came from Moby, who manages to make the album’s dark and ethereal title track even more scary.
For the song’s accompanying visual, Moby one ups himself by taking a page right out of Lynch’s directorial playbook. Placing the song’s vocalist Mindy Jones front and center, Moby uses grainy black and white footage mixed with erratic flashes of white and mysterious background figures. In turn, he creates a frightening world that seems closely related to the creepy atmosphere of Lynch’s oeuvre. Watch it below (via Rolling Stone).
