Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monáe, and Pharrell to play NBA All-Star Game

on February 06, 2014, 11:25am

This year’s NBA All-Star Game won’t just feature a cavalcade of freakishly tall professional athletes playing absolutely no defense. Kendrick LamarJanelle Monáe, and Pharrell Williams are among the freakishly suave musicians set to provide the game’s soundtrack.

According to Billboard, Kendrick will perform during the NBA’s slam dunk competition on Saturday, February 15th, while Pharrell will appear at Sunday night’s All-Star Game and croon his way through the player introductions. The game’s halftime show will feature Monáe in collaboration with Dr. John, Gary Clark Jr., Earth Wind and Fire, and Trombone Shorty. I wonder if the horns will be plugged in…

NBA All-Star Game Weekend takes place at the New Orleans Arena and will be broadcast on TNT.
